5 Summer Vacation Roller Remedies

featured products

Summer is here and I have the sunburn scalp, dirty fingernails and sandal weary feet to prove it!  It's awesome!  We even have summer camp {Camp Wander} set up way out yonder so it's time to gather the summer remedies up and be ready for bites, burns, scrapes, poison ivy, and bugs while appearing calm, cool and prepared! Nothing beats nature at it's own game like a natural remedy and I use every natural weapon I can.  First and foremost, pure essential oils for their soothing, healing and antimicrobial properties along with manuka honey, alcohol-free witch hazel, organic emu and coconut oil.  I trust my purely natural medicine cabinet over neosporin and bactine any day of the week. Up ahead, 5 recipe cards to print out for your summer survival kit, use them in good health and have a bitchen summer :-)

I printed a recipe for the “All purpose healing stick” awhile back, maybe from OGT? Anyway, it called for alcohol free witch hazel in place of the FCO. (or maybe I just subbed it?) Is this fine to do for these recipes, or is the FCO better? I’m thinking it might be better for the bug repellant, as it would stay on the skin longer, but for the others? Thanks, chris

For the sunburn remedy, can you use Frankensense instead of the Myrrh?

I just got the Sparks Nature blend and it is really wonderful for keeping bugs off. Smells nice to.

Chris, you can certainly substitute WH for FCO! I added FCO to this recipe as most EO users have this already – I wanted to make the sticks easy to put together.

What a great collection of roller remedies! I love every single one of them and while I hope I don’t have to use any of them, I’m sure they will all come in handy. Thanks!

So sorry about that inconvenience Barb, roller bottles aren’t fool proof and a spray bottle may indeed be a better idea for your situation, God bless!

OK I know my mom always said there is not a dumb question, except one that is not asked. So here i go
do you put it on your hands, then rub it on the area you want it to be?? or do you rub it directly on the area. Now that i have said it, i guess it really would not matter. hahah nothing like answering my own question. ( at least i hope i did)
thanks!!

I made your super healing recipe and put it in the roller ball to use on my back surgery scars. Well, I asked my husband to help and of course the metal ball falls out (into my belly button). What did I do wrong? I am still on pain medicine so may need a friend to help me. I do have a spray bottle so maybe that would have been better. Need a little advice. I don’t want major scars on front, back and side!! Thanks.

Absolutely! Try 4 drops Myrrh along with Frankincense, Lavender and Melaleuca.. If you don’t have any Frankincense, you can substitute with Myrrh.

would adding Myrrh to the healing stick improve the healing properties? If so how much should I add?
