This is about a blend of essential oils that can be helpful for pain relief, especially nerve pain like sciatica as well as arthritis pain. After receiving many testimonials (see end of post) that this blend helped with neuropathy pain specifically, I thought I'd share the good news! Let's talk about the EOs in this CW Salve Blend that I've named, Nerve Pain & Block. See the recipe here.
CW Helichrysum - this is an essential oil that outshines most when it comes to nerve pain. Use Helichrysum undiluted for immediate action upon injury, use it diluted if injury is hours old. Helichrysum can reduce swelling, slow bleeding, protect against free radicals (antioxidant), it's hypotensive action improves the condition of blood vessels by reducing inflammation.
CW Black Pepper - it's warming, stimulating and improves circulation. It's helpful in removing uric acid from the blood which is good news for chronic rheumatism, arthritis and gout.
CW Birch - this essential oil is also helpful for circulatory issues as a stimulant and a well-known pain reliever. Much like wintergreen, it's high in methyl salicylate - a natural aspirin. Important to note: if you're on blood thinners, allergic to aspirin or epileptic, you should avoid Birch or Wintergreen essential oils.
CW Clove Bud - is considered analgesic with amazing flavonoids (anti-inflammatory agents). Clove Bud is a favorite in the dental arena as an antimicrobial pain reliever with slight numbing properties. Clove Bud Extra is also warming and a wonderful pain reliever for joints and overworked muscles.
If you or a loved one has been professionally diagnosed with neuropathy or suffer any of these symptoms CW Nerve Pain & Block might be worth a try. I can't guarantee it will work the same for everyone but what does? Of course, it's best to get a health care providers' opinion on your symptoms as neuropathy can have serious consequences.
"I have peripheral neuropathy in my feet and sometimes the pain and burning in my feet is more than I can bear. Nothing has ever helped until I found this salve from my sweet friend Janthia (Thea) H. I have been using it for almost a year and I tell everyone I know about it. It WORKS and an added bonus is that it smells beautiful!" -DW
"I have been using it for my diabetic neuropathy for almost a year because it really does allow me to sleep without pain or burning in my feet and toes....but to my surprise, after about 6 months all my toenail fungus cleared up after having it since 1995! Thanks for such a wonderful product! -MB
"I use it for neuropathy pain in my feet, also, but mine is due to fibromyalgia. It's a must to keep on hand!" -SH
"Just ordered more, this works great with my leg nerve pain!!!!" -MJ
"I talk about it so much, my doctor asked me to bring it to my next appointment!" -JD
"I use this blend recipe for nerve pain and neuropathy from fibromyalgia, and it is fantastic!" -SK
If you love to make your own products I happily share my recipes for both the essential oil blend and pure salve base (see link above). Please remember that if you do make your own it's imperative to use the highest quality EOs, coconut oil, olive oil, beeswax, rosehip seed oil and vitamin e oil. Your salve will only be as effective as what you put in them!

This is what I would try…
Helichrysum Salve rubbed in each ear for nerve issues. Original Jeddy’s Salve behind the ears and back of neck and down shoulders as needed for anxiety relief. Best to you and your hubby!
I use this all the time for knee, leg, neck, back pain …really any pain! Works great! So a friend was recently complaining about shoulder pain for 3 weeks & was using some old remedy with no relief. I gave Her the little left in the bottom of my jar & she said it worked. I ordered us a bottle each!!
Definitely going to be recommending this to our clients. Fantastic stuff, thank you.
My husband had surgery 3 years ago and they had time cut his equilibrium nerve and the hearing nerve. He gets a lot of pressure in his head during barometric pressure changes, standing in one place more than 5 minutes, and driving. These often lead to migraines, which are also brought on by being in a crowd. At times he gets anxious in these situations knowing he will end up with a migraine. Do you have suggestions for oils for these issues?
Thank you for this post… I am going to order some asap because I don’t have all of the oils to make it myself…
has this ever been used for trigeminal neuralgia and if so what were the results. This is a very very painful nerve disorder in the face that has no cure, but surgery does help.
Again, fantastic idea.
Would you apply both during the same session?
You might try Copaiba in lieu of Birch – it has neuro-protective properties and may be a nice alternative.
What can be used instead of the Birch my Aunt has horrible Neuropathy and allergic to aspirin?
I have been using this for about a week now and am so, so glad I came across this wonderful cream. I have had peripheral neuropathy for almost 30 years and my go to solution for relieving the pain when I went to bed was using an icepack for my feet, …….until I got this! I will be getting more of this.
My husband started using this yesterday but hasn’t had any relief yet. How long does it usually take to see or feel a difference? At this point nothing has worked so we’re hoping this works for him.
I’ve made this to give to several people with excellent results. A dear friend, the one my husband outsourced his vacuuming chore to, came over one morning and said, “watch this!”, then she touched her toes and flung her leg up on the island top. After I stopped laughing she said she’s been using the Nerve Blend 2 times a day and has been pain free since she started it. She’s a grandmother and waitresses 3 long days a week besides vacuuming our floors. Her husband works doing something with computers and oil rigs and one day had such bad sciatica pain nothing he tried would touch, she got out her Nerve Blend and fixed him right up. Same for my brother-in-law with his sciatica and neuropathy which nothing helped. I take little containers with me everywhere, to the nursery we love….when I saw the owner with a support on her wrist I gave some to her, she says now she can sleep at night. I even handed some to a couple of guys with sciatica at Bass Pro Shop (along with the website so they can buy their own later).
There you go! :)
Where can I get the neuropathy recipe? I mix my own eo salves and goodies. I love it!! I am hoping that this will help my hubby. Thank you so much. Love your site – shows lots of hard work and creativity! Sincerely, Bonni Dodge firstname.lastname@example.org
Paula, you might want to read through the comments on this FB post about what people are using Nerve Pain & Block for and how it’s helping :)
Hi Molly, welcome! I would suggest Nerve Pain & Block Salve for you, adding a drop of Copaiba to an application of NPB Salve could be a very good idea. We’re all different, so it behooves us to start slow and add to a protocol if needed.
Hi, I think finding this site could be an answer to prayer. I have serious peripheral neuropathy from a genetic disease, Charcot Marie Tooth. It’s literally ruining my life. I’ve been on several rx meds, and none work sufficiently to keep me pain free. I would love to try one of your creams. I’m noticing that there are 2 to choose for neuropathy . Which one would you recommend for some serious relief? also would you advise that I add a product with Copaiba ?
Thanks so much, your new friend Molly
Cypress essential oil works wonders for all of my nerve pain issues. I have carpal tunnel syndrome, fibromyalgia & major neuropathy in my neck. I use a blend right now for nerve issues with cypress, lemongrass (it’s fabu for fibro), helisychrum, marjoram and frankincense. I don’t have any black pepper oil or I would’ve added it too, but I take 2600 mg a day of turmeric with bioperine (the active ingredient in black pepper). I completely forgot about the clove though, and my husband even uses it for toothaches. Thanks for the reminder & I’ll add some today. When I finally do get the black pepper I will definitely be trying your blend out, because I get so sick of being in pain 24/7.
I would give the blend at least a week, by then you should know whether or not it’s going to help with relief.
