Wet Cough Buster Recipe and Remedy

Whether we want to believe it or not, chances are we're in for another long cold and flu season this winter. On the bright side, there's good news! This Camp knows how to help prevent, fight and shorten the duration of looming colds and flu.

That said, it's a good time of year to prepare so tuck this robust remedy away if ever you find yourself left with a nagging, wet cough - you know what I'm talking about - constant coughing and you still can't get the mucus to loosen up and leave.

The Wet Cough Buster Blend is packed with benefits and a good blend to apply topically however, aromatic use can be very helpful too - diffusing the Wet Cough Buster Blend may be especially beneficial at night.

List of essential oils needed -

EUCALYPTUS:  Its properties and value are magnified by its ability to clear the wet or congestive landscape where unfriendly bacteria and virus multiply causing very unpleasant conditions. Eucalyptus essential oil can clear out sticky mucus so that regular oxygenation can return and healthy cell reproduction can take place once again. Eucalyptus can give the immune system a boost by clearing out bacteria that cause respiratory problems.

THYME:  In its pure state, Thyme essential oil can be effective in improving the severity of pneumonia, colds, cough, congestion and/or infection in the lungs, tonsillitis, laryngitis, asthma, eases abdominal distention, and relieves intestinal gas. Thyme can benefit chronic fatigue, shallow breathing, bladder and kidney infections, chronic coughs (wet cough), bronchitis. Thyme fights infection and improves immunity by boosting the production of white blood cells. European physicians often prescribe Thyme EO for bronchitis, colds, coughs, flu, laryngitis, sinusitis, sore throats, tonsillitis and whooping cough.

PEPPERMINT:  This minty essential oil can help with arthritis, asthma, bronchitis, depression, fatigue, food poisoning, hemorrhoids, hives, irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), itchy skin, memory issues, morning sickness, motion sickness, rheumatism, elevate and open sensory system, shock, soothe and cool skin, great for hot flashes, throat infection, toothaches and vomiting.

Pro Tip - be sure to write this blend down in your EO Journal for future use.
