Eye Makeup Remover with Benefits

featured products

I'm about to share the BEST eye makeup remover yet!  Bold statement? Maybe but, when I explain the "what's in it and why" you'll want to make some too, at least I hope you will because your vision and fine lines just might thank you. Super simple to make, my DIY blend with benefits easily removes eye makeup, even popular fiber lash mascara. Every time I remove my eye makeup I'm nourishing my skin and quite possibly improving my middle aged vision. Another round of applause for the astounding versatility of pure ingredients, no chemicals needed. Last week on Facebook I shared yet another testimonial for slowing macular degeneration (wet) using pure Clove Bud essential oil and DIY Immortelle.  It occurred to me that I've been using this particular blend in my eye makeup remover for awhile now and I've yet share it with you.  Dang, I've been holding out and didn't mean to! DIY Immortelle has been reported to improve vision with long term use for those who are attached to their readers.  It's a simple blend of Frankincense, Lavender and Cypress to rejuvenate, regenerate, restore, improve circulation and tone skin on a cellular level.  Add the healthy properties of organic, mercury free, balanced omega 3 fatty acids from a non fish source of oil namely, CW Hemp Seed Oil and you actually have a nutrient rich skin serum to remove eye makeup that leaves behind lots of added benefits like: 1.  Hemp seed oil supports healthy hair, skin and nails. 2.  Often used as a moisturizer. 3.  Known to reduce dryness and relieve itching and skin irritations from eczema. 4.  Anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties, may protect against the aging process, works to keep skin calm. Hemp seed oil also has high levels of vitamins A, C and E and β-carotene, and it is rich in minerals like phosphorus, potassium, magnesium, sulfur and calcium. Have I convinced you that you need this in your makeup bag?  Hope so!

Simply wipe off with a cotton pad or tissue as you normally would when using an eye makeup remover.

Simply dab around the eyes daily. I would also encourage him to use Clove Bud daily on the bottoms of his feet as per the blog post that is linked to here :)

Do you have to wipe afterward? Such as with warm damp cloth? Wash with water?

I can’t wait to get my hands on these oils and try it to removed mascara! I was also wondering if it would be a beneficial blend for a man with macular degeneration to try and if so, how would he apply it?

I literally just switched to non-waterproof mascara and have stopped using my fiber lash mascara because my homemade eye makeup remover was not cutting it and I was afraid of being you aggressive around my eyes. Can’t wait to try this out!! Thank you, as always, the recipes you share with us are SO appreciated.

P.S. have you posted your rose mint lip balm recipe/do you plan to? Thanks :)

I can’t wait to use this then share it with my customers! I sell Younique and it’s my favorite mascara! But, it does take some getting used to removing it, I know I’ll have some clients very interested! Thank you! I just love your blog and products!

I’ve used coconut oil for a long time, then I tried Hemp Seed Oil and I’ll never go back. The removal is so much easier, especially for waterproof or fiberlash mascaras!

Hi, was wondering if I could use coconut oil instead of hemp seed oil?
    Thanks

The seed of the hemp plant contains some of the most balanced and richest sources of oils on the planet. The ideal 3:1 ratio of Omega 6 to Omega 3 is recommended by the World Health Organization for optimal utilization. The essential fatty acids in these oils are fundamental in restoring health and immune function. Hemp seed oil contains 80 percent essential fatty acids, the highest of any plant. Fractionated coconut oil actually has the good fats spun out of it so it will remain in liquid form. I choose to use nutritious carrier oils like hemp seed oil, emu oil and solid organic coconut oil, they enhance EO use in my opinion!

I’ve made your “DIY Immortelle” and like it a lot. It does sting if it gets in your eyes though. I use it three times per day and have noticed some vision improvement. I can now read smaller print again without reaching for reading glasses. I really appreciate all the work you do and I love this website. I love the fact that you post recipes with exact amounts and why they work. I think you’re helping a lot of people become more knowledgeable about their essential oils. Thanks again for providing us with so much helpful information. I’m very glad you mentioned your sister and her website. She’s great at this, too!
