Safe Skin Tag and Wart Removal with Oregano Salve

Oregano essential oil has proven successful for removing skin tags and warts naturally but sometimes a good thing can be improved upon!  Camp Wander Oregano Salve makes a hot essential oil application safer and easier to apply. First, a little science about warts - they're a virus.  The common wart is actually an infection caused by the HPV (human papillomavirus). Everyday moments can introduce you to the HPV virus whether it's contact by handshake, keyboard, grocery cart or, direct skin contact - yes, warts are contagious. If HPV is present (there's at least 100 different forms) the virus can get opportunistic if there's a scrape or small tear in the skin.  The virus initiates rapid cell growth on the surface of the skin and a wart is born.

Thankfully, there are natural remedies available and Oregano essential oil is one of the best because of it's powerful anti-viral properties, but there is one challenge, it's H O T. Pure Oregano essential oil can and most likely will cause skin irritation and a very real burning sensation if used undiluted. You never want to inadvertently get Oregano oil in your eyes either, trust me on this! If you're planning on eradicating a wart on your hand or a child's hand keep this in mind. Enter CW Oregano Essential Oil Salve, a better way to apply any topical essential oil applications. Essential Oil Salves are still very potent however, the pure salve base of organic, unrefined coconut oil, olive oil, beeswax, rosehip seed oil and non-gmo Kosher certified vitamin e will help to protect your skin from sensitivity while creating a very real synergy with the essential oil, supporting deeper penetration, providing essential fatty acids ["The usefulness of topical application of essential fatty acids"] and a higher anti-oxidant content to slow oxidation (aging). Better control of any essential oil application is superior too, there's no drops or carrier oil to mix, it's already done, spill proof and if you're especially sensitive to the strong aroma of EOs, you'll love the mellowed aroma of oil supported in a salve base.

Let a QTip be your magic wand... Twice a day, touch a QTip with CW Oregano Salve to any common wart or skin tag, there's no need to apply salve to any of the surrounding area, just directly on the wart or skin tag. The essential oil will be absorbed quickly and salve ingredients will absorb too but in the meantime, they'll protect the skin. Some people prefer to cover the wart with a small round bandaid but it's not necessary, strictly a personal preference! Within two weeks you should notice a darkening, this means the wart or skin tag is slowly dying off, the blood supply is reduced and that you're on the right track. I should mention that CW Oregano essential oil can be very successful for plantar wart removal too. Be sure to give Oregano a go before conceding to invasive procedures on the bottom of your feet which can heal very, very slowly. AND, Oregano can be double trouble for nail fungus!  As long as you have the QTip waving, apply Oregano Salve to toenail fungus too.

Oregano oil is the ultimate antibiotic. Oregano is a powerful herb with unique healing properties. It is a great natural alternative treatment for many skin problems including warts and skin tags. Thanks for this.

Why can’t I make a comment or like anything on the facebook page? I have loved your page for a very long time and used to be able to do these things. For some reason I am blocked for replying or liking anything. I can only share things.

This looks great!
I have a few jars of the naked salve sitting in my fridge so was hoping to make this.
I looked at the ingredients and I says 7.5 ml oregano. Is this correct to use for a 1 oz jar? it seems like a lot of eo!
Thanks for our help!

I used the Oregano for a week or so on a skin tag that had gotten about the size of a marble but I didn’t like how hot it was. I also have psoriasis and it was burring pretty bad around the base of it. I remember reading on your site that you could use lemon also, especially for children. So I started with the lemon 2x a day and within 2 weeks it was dried up and gone. I love your site and the help it give so many of us that want to use alternate methods and don’t know where to start or find a trusted source.

WOW, the timing on this is unbelievable. I have been putting Oregano oil on a skin tab for a couple of weeks. I knew it was a HOT oil, but was being careful. I still managed to get a little bit of a burn on the surrounding skin. Well I had a jar of the all purpose healing salve sitting there so I dipped a qtip in the salve then put put drop of the Oregano oil on it. That not only made the Oregano less irritating, but it also helped heal the area that was already burned.
Skin tab gone, burned area healed. This salve and essential oil stuff works. I am still in awe.

Love this. I have used oregano for planters warts for my kids’ feet before. It took some time, but being committed to it, they are now gone. I now am dealing with skin tags in my armpits of all places. They don’t hurt and are not irritating or bothersome, just ugly. But it’s difficult to apply oregano there without it getting everywhere on my arm, ya know? Any ideas?

Hi Rebecca! They have definitely been diagnosed as SK, so they are not malignant. I had just started using Oregano on them when I saw this post. It was very timely! So I will continue to use the Oregano Salve. Thank you so much for your prompt response!

Hi Karen, I really can’t say, I don’t have any experience with this but, if the condition was diagnosed as SK and definitely not malignant, if it were me, I would try Oregano Salve daily. Frankincense or Lemon are options as well but they may take a bit longer to see results.

Rebecca, would this protocol also work for seborrheic keratosis?

Thank you so much for all that you do. You are so appreciated.

Yes, that’s correct it is a very potent blend – 1/8 of teaspoon equates to almost 2 drops of essential oil. Essential Oil Salve Singles are to be treated and respected as you would a bottle of straight essential oil only now, you have a built in skin protectant that includes coconut oil, olive oil, beeswax, rosehip seed oil and vitamin e oil. All of these ingredients are healing on their own – anti-bacterial, anti-oxidant, anti-inflammatory and softening.

Good question and the good news is, yes, you can add Oregano to your CW Naked Salve.

However, while the CW Essential Oil Salve Single base is made with the same ingredients as Naked Salve, different percentages of the ingredients are used to hold 7.5ml essential oil (lots of oil!) in a semi-soft form. But for the basic CW Naked Salve I suggest 25 drops per one ounce jar, 50 drops per 2 ounce jar :)

Rebecca,

You are absolutely awesome. Could we add the oregano to our Naked Salve that I gave already? And if so how much & would it still work?

Have a wonderful Saturday

Oregano might be little strong for that, especially on your face. I would try equal parts Helichrysum and Frankincense blended with a little Rosehip Seed Oil.

My 10 year old son had an aggressive, ugly wart on his pinky, near and slightly under the nail. I tried oils but it didn’t seem to really affect it. We had it scraped off and frozen today, so I’m wondering what salve/oils might help take care of the base of it and help heal the wound? Thanks for all your great work!

You might want to try Oregano Blemish Salve that contains Frankincense too. A light layer over problems areas at night would be my suggestion.

What salve would work for adult acne? Some articles suggest goldenseal, lemon balm, or chamomile . So far, nothing has made the acne go away!

I’ve always been a fan of the duct tape remedy, but it tends to dry out the skin around the wart. It looks like this should help keep the surrounding skin healthy. Gonna give it a try. Thanks.

So basically, to dilute wth naked salve we would use 1 part oregano to 3 parts salve? I think my brain was smoking trying to figure that out. LOL

I would try Oregano Blemish Salve, it has Frankincense in it as well. St. John’s Wort would be amazing too!
