Drip or Drop? Understanding the Difference in Essential Oil Blending
EO Basics!
A quick FYI post to show you that there is indeed a difference between dripping and dropping when making blends. Either method is fine, just be consistent with one or the other. However, one of these methods is preferred over the other; I'll show you why...
Have you ever made blends and ended up scratching your head because the level of oil in your bottle is different every time? The drip/drop choice might be why. When blending, use a glass dropper with every oil for consistency.
Dripping Vs Dropping:
Dripping
straight from the bottle's drip orifice will give you a larger, less consistent recipe.
{We've all had the frustration of watching EOs drip too fast or too slow from the bottle...argh!}
Dropping
using a glass dropper will give you a truer recipe (CW recipes).
by the way...
It's not necessary to put a dropper on every bottle of EO you own, wash droppers and bottles in hot, soapy water between use!
